Atletičar Viktor Kiplangat iz Ugande osvojio je zlatnu medalju u maratonu na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Budimpešti.
Kiplangat je do najsjajnijeg odličja stigao istrčavši maraton za dva sata, osam minuta i 53. sekunde.
Srebrna medalja pripala je Maru Teferiju iz Izraela sa vremenom od dva sata, devet minuta i 12. sekundi.
Treće mjesto i bronzanu medalju ‘pokupio’ je Leul Gebreselase iz Etiopije sa vremenom od dva sata, devet minuta i 19. sekundi.
